U.S. dollar deposits in banks in East Asia. Asian dollar futures contracts, which are based on Asian dollar deposits, are a highly liquid investment. Investing in Asian dollars may help an Asian company hedge its foreign exchange risk on investments in the United States. It is an example of a eurocurrency.
