Arab Monetary Fund
An international organization that promotes trade and development of financial markets for and between Arab states. It also aims to correct deficits in members' balance of payments. All its activities were originally intended to pave way for a united, Arab currency, but this goal has largely faded. It was established in 1977 and is based in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.
