Amounts Differ

    0.01 sec.
Amounts Differ
A check a bank does not honor because the amount written in numbers differs from the amount written in words. Most checks include spaces where the writer puts down both in numbers and in words the amount he/she wishes to pay to the recipient of the check. If the two do not match, the bank is unlikely to pay it because it will not know which amount is correct. Banks usually assess charges for unpaid checks.
