Al Jazeera
A major news organization. It began as an Arabic-language news network in 1996 and has since expanded to an English-language channel, a newspaper, multiple websites, and other mediums. Al Jazeera was established by a loan from the Emir of Qatar; because it has never relied on direct subsidies from the Qatari government, it is considered one of the most reliable news organizations in the Middle East.
