Ajustabonos

An inflation-indexed bond issued by the Bank of Mexico. Ajustabonos have maturities of three to five years. They pay interest each quarter based on the inflation adjusted value of their 100-peso face value. That is, interest on ajustabonos is based on the worth of 100 pesos at the time the bond was issued. Ajustabonos guarantee a real return.
