Agent Reinstate A situation in which a former subscriber to a periodical renews his/her subscription after some interruption. Usually, an agent reinstate occurs when the subscriber makes a late payment. For example, a person could forget to pay for a newspaper subscription, in which case newspaper delivery would stop. If the person then made the subscription payment, the next newspaper delivery would affect the agent reinstate. Agent reinstate is also called agency reinstatement or agent's reinstatement. It should not be confused with reinstatement, which is an insurance term. Want to thank TFD for its existence?
