Advance Funding Any payment on a future obligation. A very basic example of advance funding is a parent paying a child's allowance a week early. Sometimes advance funding is a loan; payday loans are common sources of advance funding. Often, however, advance funding is deducted against some future obligation that the payer otherwise owes the payee. Want to thank TFD for its existence?
