African, Caribbean, and Pacific Countries
A group of 79 independent states that have undertaken to reduce poverty, promote development and seek greater integration into the global economy. Nearly all the ACP countries are signatories to the Cotonou Agreement, giving members a special relationship with the European Union. Many ACP states are among the least developed in the world.
